while composite material CNG cylinder is conveying, loading and unloading, the composite material CNG cylinder may happen to collide or drop. When this collision and dropping is far-gone, the cylinder may bring to leak and breakage. In order to ensure the safe usage of cylinder, The studies on impact of composite material CNG cylinder is always an important subject. The theory of kinetics, the method of finite element analysis are used together to construct a finite element model in company with experiment in this paper, a test-bed is built, a synthesis analysis on kinetics capabilities of the composite material cylinder have been done in this paper.The simulations on dropping of cylinder by ANSYS/LS-DYNA has been made in this paper, the dropping way is vertical, horizontal and 45 degree respectively;The dropping velocity is 3m/s, 4m/s, 5m/s and10m/s in turn;at the same time, the dropping is classified inexistent intensity of pressure, existent 1 MPa intensity of pressure to 3 MPa. Through the method of finite element analyzing, the value of impact can be calculated, the history of stress can also be concluded, ensue to locate the dangerous orientation. At the same time, the history of velocity, acceleration, energy and structure of configuration as well as the persistence time of contact can be concluded.According to the result of simulation analysis, a blue print of experiment is drawn, the test-bed is built, at the dangerous location paste resistance stain patches, adopt proper frequency, take marble as floor, hang to the same height of simulate dropping and drop freely by gravity, the data of experiment is collected by strain gauge and recorded by data processing apparatus. In addition, adopt hammer knock on cylinder along axial and round, and note the response of cylinder. The result of experiment testify the simulation of the method of finite element right, reflect the respond of the impacting in truth, supply a credible foundation for theory.This paper bring forward three advices according to the result of theory, the method of finite element analysis and experiment: at geometry point, the heal should be much thicker, so that affect of the concentrated stress can be reduce;at framework point, the rate of the thickness of aluminum to fiber is proper. At last, the wrap of fiber should mainly be along axial and round.
