| It's more than 1300 years' development and changes that the Church architectures of Shaanxi province already have since the first church was built at Chang'an city of Tang Dynasty in 635 A.D. Especially from Mid-19th century, a large number of churches were built in Shaanxi by Christianity, some churches kept its primary style and features and was preserved till now. These Church Architectures have unique value on Architecture art, history and culture. It's necessary to have in-depth and systemic study of the present condition and preserving history on these architectures.This paper researches into late-19th-century to mid-20th-century church architectures of Shaanxi province. Firstly, it based on the society status of Mid-19th century, discussing the preservation history and preserving condition of Shaanxi church architecture from several aspects as the disturbing of churches, the numbers of churches, church architecture's development and changes. The shortage and challenge faced in Shaanxi church architecture preservation job is analyzed and discussed, some idea and advice to the key question in preservation job is given in the paper. Secondly, some church architectures are surveyed and measured as examples, faithful survey for the church architecture's present condition and history is done from architecture and preservation view. The historical and present drawing of architecture is done, therefore the feature of church is well displayed. One detailed data and evidence is provided as the complementarity of the church information in order to preserve the late-19th century to mid-20th century Church architecture better.In the end, the preservation history of the late-19th century to mid-20th century church architectures of Shaanxi province is summed up in the paper, to the presentpreservation condition the author also explores the idea for church architectures' development and preservation.
