The Applied Research On CI Design In Architecture Creation

CI is the abbreviation of Corporate Identity. CI design can make the identity of enterprise be more well-known and popular. It has much more significance in promoting enterprise's popularity and diffusing enterprise's culture. CI theory has developed and innovated in many fields in recent years. To accommodate the requirement of social development, CI theory combined with other science and derived some interdisciplinary theories from it. In the realm of architecture, with the influence of commercial culture and public ideology, architects are required to create personality and visual impact in current informationized society. Combining CI theory, which takes the identity and diffusion as main traits, with architectural creation, it can be helpful to construct architecture and environment with distinction identity and abundant meanings.The thesis begins with expounding the historic background of combination of CI and architecture. From the angle of history and status quo, the paper proved the existence of the combination of CI and architecture, and explained the reason for appearing such phenomenon from two different aspects: the historical tendency and the objective cognition of human beings. Subsequently, the paper discussed the combination of CI and architecture from the other two aspects: the realistic phenomenon and theorical research. According to the different stage that CI intervened the architecture, based on the examples, the paper explained the principles, characteristics and revelant method;then from the angle of architecture semeiology, the thesis researched into and analyzed the existence of combination, and deduced the base of theory for their combination. At last, the paper summed up and generalized theorically,educing the guidelines that can be used as the reference in practical application, and the principal targets. Only can all the principles be applied flexibility in designing, it will be available to the perfection of combination, and gain the unification of function with aesthetics,and the harmony of visual form with identity, and realize the aim of identity diffuseness. From the angle of CI theory, the thesis analyzed the connection of CI with architectural identity and the influence that CI design has been on the architecture, researched into the process of communication of architectural identity, carried out the idea of " CI design in architecture", robbed into the construction of architecture identity with recognition and the direction of development for future architecture's CI design. Through some practical application, the thesis put forward the author's consideration and exploration, hope to be helpful and enlightening for the current architectural creation, and provide another angle of view to analyze and evaluate it.
