The static pressing pipe-pile combines the advantages of PC piles and static pressing construction method perfectly. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection, more and more static pressing pipe-piles are used in engineering constructions.By analyzing more than 400 static pressing pipe-pile' static load tests results collected in Guangdong region in recent years, the paper researches the engineering-properties of static pressing pipe-pile under typical field situation.Firstly, through analyzing the results of static pressing pipe-pile' static load tests statistically, the paper presents the characteristics and experience of engineering application of static pressing pipe-pile.Secondly, the driving mechanism of static pressing pipe-pile and the mechanics of driving process are analyzed. Then, an estimative method that is based on the spherical cavity expansion theory for estimating the pressure of driving piles is brought forward.Thirdly, the paper analyzes the difference between the final pressure of the driving pile and the limit vertical carrying capacity of static pressing pipe-pile, and then introduces the research fruit of their relation in the Guangdong region.Whereafter, by summarizing the load transfer theory of single pile, the paper analyzes the property of bearing capacity and the characteristics of load-settlement of static pressing pipe-pile in the typical geology area, and estimates the limit carrying capacity of single pile according to the Q-S curve.Finally, the paper numerically simulates the load transfer rule and the static load test on the static pressing pipe-pile by use of the FLAC software, and then analyzes the result of simulation.
