R&D Of Elevator Configuration System Based On Knowledge Management

The mass customization production is a production pattern that provides individual customization product in the mass production efficiency and cost. It takes customer as center to arrange production and provides the diverse products to meet individual demand. The product configuration technology is the key technology and core component of mass customization. It plays an extremely important role in managing product data efficiently and using resource to implement product customization design.First, this paper makes research on the product configuration theory and points out that the appearance of agile design technology such as design for standardization, model for product family, delayed product design and so on provides the precondition and guarantee for technology of product configuration. Then, basic theory of product configuration is researched and the component and architecture are discussed in this paper.Second, taking the basic principle as product configuration and combining the elevator product, the author designs the function model of elevator configuration system and discusses the architecture and implement of the system in detail.Third, the paper goes deeply into the key technologies of knowledge management in elevator configuration system. The key technologies include how to translate from designer's knowledge to computer system's knowledge format and how to use configuration engine to parse the knowledge base.Based on the theory above, the paper discusses the implement technology of elevator product configuration system. Object-oriented modeling, J2EE framework and MVC design pattern based on Struts are applied in this system. XML format is adopted as the data exchange standard between the system of configuration and other information systems in the enterprise.At last, combining the process of elevator product design, this paper has developed the prototype system of elevator configuration.It has been proved that elevator configuration system can handle the product configuration exactly and effectively, reduce the design cycle, decrease product going-on market time and enhance enterprise's market competitiveness. Comparing with traditional product configuration system, the elevator configuration system based on knowledge management can be easily extended and maintained in handling the knowledge and ruler of elevator design.
