In the age of knowledge economy, knowledge innovation has become a new factor for enterprises to strengthen the market competitive ability. Meanwhile, as a typical design activity based on knowledge, product configuration design is generally used for customers' increasing personalized needs. The knowledge management for product configuration design are increasingly been paid attention to. On the background of the national "863" project, this research focused the characteristics of product configuration design, introduced Web2.0 into knowledge management. The knowledge model for product configuration design, the knowledge push method in the process of product configuration design, and et al were researched. And the research results were applied in an enterprise project.This paper is organized as follows:In the first chapter, the research history and the main content of product configuration design based on knowledge were discussed, and together with the current situation of this research. Furthermore, the Web2.0 theory and its application in knowledge management were introduced. The background, purpose, main content of this research, and the architecture of this paper were proposed in the end of this chapter.In chapterâ…¡, the knowledge model for product configuration design was proposed, based on the systemic research on the knowledge type and main content of the knowledge management for product configuration design. And, on the base of this model, its definition, some concepts and characteristics were put forward.In chapterâ…¢, the management methods and the key technologies were discussed for the knowledge management of product configuration design, which were based on Web2.0. The basic framework was proposed for the knowledge management, in which the process of knowledge management was connected together with the product configuration design process. The knowledge acquirement, accumulation, serialization and smart push were implemented by the Web2.0 methods, such as the wiki, public evaluation and et al.In chapterâ…£, The analysis and introduction were put forward for this knowledge management system from various perspectives, which were the function models, system architecture and process models. Also, the key applied technologies were discussed.In chapterâ…¤, The Web2.0 knowledge management software system for product configuration design was introduced in chapterâ…¤, which was developed for a well-known engineering plant. In this chapter, the wheel loader product was taken as main applied object, and the working flow of the software system was discussed based on the applied object.The 6th chapter was the summary of the research work. The innovations were pointed out. Also, the shortages of this research were discussed, and the future development of this research was prospected.
