There are lots of middle-size and small-size reservoirs with matter of high risk, low flood standard and water resource efficient. It is important to modify the spillway. The discharge capacity of self-tilting labyrinth weir is higher. It is safe and precise for configuring pressure chamber and inlet well.Based on the tests and theory calculations, the paper demonstrated that computing tilting moment and resisting moment could attain self-tilting weir's tilt behavior. In the same water level, when one weir tilted the adjacent weir is more stable than former. According to the model tests the conclusions were attained. 1) The discharge capacity of P-K weir is larger than straight-line crest weir. The discharge efficiency is high when weir head is low. 2) When the width of inlet larger than outlet, the discharge efficiency is higher than reverse scheme. 3) H/PO.5 and inlet width is larger than outlet, the discharge coefficient is higher than symmetry plan. The result is opposite with H/P<0.5. 4) The discharge coefficient of P.K weir is related with H/P, L/W and W/P, that is m=f (H/P, L/W, W/P). The research results from the model tests can be used to compute P.K weir's discharge coefficient. By means of numerical simulation the hydraulic feature of P-K weir was calculated. The K — S turbulent model and VOF method was applied to track the free surface of flow. According to the comparing the different weirs applied into a real case such as WES weir, hump weir and P.K weir, the P.K weir is a cost effective with the same applies condition.
