Study On Freeway Travel Safety Ensuring System Under Unfavorable Weather Condition

Safety is an eternal theme of highway transportation. As the basic means of transportation, freeway is an important symbol of national modernization level, so it's safety is especially important.Based on the actual situation of China freeway travel safety and the influence factors of unfavorable weather to the freeway travel safety, with systematic and scientific research method, the paper suggests to build up a freeway safety ensuring system involving climate monitor system, vehicle safety and driving system, information announcement system, safety emergency rescue system and advanced freeway management system. It is proposed that advanced management and facilities of transportation should be used to ensure the freeway travel safety.At the same time, a qualitative and quantity analysis is presented to determine the function in freeway travel safety ensuring system. According to conceive and analysis of the system, the paper establishes a set of evaluation index for system's function. In the end, the lowest evaluative standard is given to improve function of the system and ensure freeway travel safety under unfavorable weather condition.
