With the rapid development of our economy, the transportation becomes more and moreimportant to construction of economy and implications of security in our country, in which theeffect of freeway is obvious. The rapid development of economic is bound to promote themileage of the freeway, and the safety of highway has becoming more and more severe withthe passage of time, Freeway accident not only endangers the safety of the people andproperty severely, but also restricts the using performance of freeway. So, it is urgentlyimportant subjects to analyse the dates of traffic accidents scientifically and systematically,and obtain the safety situation of the road by evaluating to find the cause of these accidents.Firstly, this paper detailes probed into five influence factors and its’ interaction of trafficsafety based on the summary analysis of present situation (persons、vehicle、road、environment and management of transportation), and also proposed the continuity method ofsafety evaluation. Secondly, based on obtaining the original dates in records of accidents onthe spot over these years by surveying and evidence-taking to Changzhang section of HukunFreeway, and used descriptive statistical analysis method to analysed distribution rule andcharacteristic of the accidents, after that we applies the method of safety evaluation toevaluate its safety performance in the section of the freeway, and descriptives statisticalanalysed dangerous section of the freeway, then grey relational analysed causes andconsequences of traffic accidents in the section of the freeway to find out these accidents’related reason. Finally, this paper suggest some corrective measures to recent hardware、management and accidents’ dangerous section of the freeway according to preliminaryresearch.
