Research On The Pattern Of Protection And Renewal Of The Historic Blocks In Wuhan

The protection of historic block and city organization is the most important task of the protection of historic cities, especially of historic cultural cities. This has been universally accepted by the experts who study in the fields of historic protection, urban planning and architecture. But now, there are many problems happened in the course of economic construction and urbanization.This thesis chooses to do the research on the historic blocks in Wuhan. Investigating their courses of the forming and the development on the base of the large information from the literatures of the letters and pictures, the thesis points out and explains the problems existing in the historic blocks in Wuhan. And then, the thesis analyses the substance space form of the historic blocks in the light of the knowledge of architecture and urban planning, and also analyses the social space form from the aspects of society, economy, culture and so on. Finally, the thesis studies on the pattern of the protection and renewal of the historic blocks in Wuhan on the base of the investigation of the urban design, street environment and buildings, trying to find out a way of the protection and renewal of the historic blocks.
