The paper makes an in-depth analysis of the combustion control system in power plantboiler, presents an analysis method of the operation economy in variable operationcondition of the boiler based on the variation of flue gas oxygen content, and then thepartial derivative and micro-increment calculation formulae of the boiler's main thermaleconomy indexes are educed. Combining the analysis and calculation models of thevariation characteristic for the boiler's thermal economy parameters affected by the fluegas oxygen content and the optimal flue gas oxygen content partial differential equationwhich takes the minimization net coal consumption rate as the target function together, theoptimal set value of flue gas oxygen content under different load in the variable operationcondition of the power plant boiler can be ascertained. The calculation results of a 300MWturbine generator unit shows that through the optimization regulation of combustion controlsystem based on the optimal set value of flue gas oxygen content, the net coal consumptionrate of the power plant boiler can be effectively reduced in the operation process of theturbine generator unit.
