The paper presents an analysis method of the operation economy of the boiler based on the flue gas oxygen content,the partial derivative and micro-increment calculation formulae of the boiler's main thermal economy indexes are educed, and the optimal flue gas oxygen content partial differential equation which takes the minimization net coal consumption rate as the target is built.The calculation formulas of the variation characteristic for the boiler's thermal economy parameters affected by the flue gas oxygen content are educed by analyzing the variable gas oxygen content thermal experimentation data of the 1028t/h boiler in Tian Jin Chen Tang thermo-electric Ltd.,and the optimal set value of flue gas oxygen content under different load in the variable operation condition of the power plant boiler can be ascertained.The calculation results shows that through the optimization regulation of combustion control system based on the optimal set value of flue gas oxygen content,the net coal consumption rate of the power plant boiler can be effectively reduced in the operation process of the turbine generator unit.
