As the important station in power transmission, the investment in the powertransmission towers is about 40 percent of the whole investment. The safety anddependability of the power transmission tower count for much with the safety of thepower system. The tower's losing stability under the wind force and earthquake forceis the main reason in the tower's collapse incident. So base of the tower's static stability,holding the dynamic respond under the wind force and earthquake force is veryimportant.In this paper via the finite element analysis software ANSYS based on the staticanalysis, we first analyze the dynamic characteristic, then calculate the dynamic respondunder the wind force and earthquake force,last combine with load increment methodanalyze the whole stability of the tower. This finite element analysis method can alsoanalyze guyed tower. The work lays foundation for industrial application.
