Since the three-ring reducer came out, it has been used in many fields, for itsmany advantages, such as large speed-reduction ratio, high load capability, compactvolume and simple structure. Many disadvantages in original list had beendiscovered. Among of them, the serious one is the reducer capacity has not beenbrought into play during the period of its being used by some companies, so thenew product series need to be established. In the 'Three-ring Reducer CarringCapacity Research and New Product Series Design' research task undertook byTian jin University Drive Graduate School, which was submitted by Nan jingHigh Speed Precision Gear Reducer factory, my task includes the followings:Complete the choosing modification coefficients work in reducer serial design,that needs to develop one software, which is based on the calculation method forinternal gears cut with gear shaper. The software was developed with VB6.0. Itsfunction includes the followings: ploting the closed diagrams of modificationcoefficients;choosing the modification coefficients;calculating values of constrainfunctions and gear's geometrical parameters. Also, a module is intently attached to thesystem, which can be used in three-ring reducer series design. This software has beenproved to be validated in the design process of a new product series of three-ring gearreducers. The research result resolved a pivotal problem in serial design.Besides, considering meshing effect, optimization steps of gear parameters withrandom vector method are demonstrated, which refers to the most gear load as the aimfunction and the gear bend stress restriction and modification coefficients selectionrestriction as restriction terms. The result will help for sufficiently improving thecapacity of gear.
