Few teeth difference planetary transmission has natural advantage in the following performance, such as small size, light weight, high reliability, long life, high torque, large transmission ratio etc. With the in-depth study, this type of transmission has been more and more widely used. Now we were charged with the design of special friction pairs and transmission devices. Basing on harmonic reducer, one reducer with independent intellectual property was needed to development, which should be with the characteristic of high motion accuracy, small backlash, big rigidity, strong resistance to shock ability, small cubage and structural compact, Under this background, a new type of gear reducer called filtering gear reduce (Patent Number:CN1699793)was invented by Prof.Liang Xichang and Wang Jiaxu. After completing the design and processing of filtering gear reducer, we did some tests towards the transmission performance of prototype, then got the following conclusions: it performance well in small size, light weight and high torque but bad in transmission accuracy in comparison with harmonic reducer of the same size. Therefore, we did some theoretical calculation with the method of probability statistics and tests towards the transmission accuracy of filtering gear reducer. The main contents can be generalized as follows:①First, it introduced the research and development trends about precision transmission at home and abroad,then made analysis on transmission principle towards some transmission types of few teeth difference planetary transmission which was widely used at present. After that, the research direction was determined through the comparison of transmission performance.②Second, a new type of high-performance driving part called filtering gear reducer was briefly introduced. Then, the correct meshing theory and non-interference of this few teeth difference planetary transmission reducer were derived and verified.③Third, the realization principle of transmission performance about this reducer was briefly introduced. Then the formula of transmission error was derived towards a pair of internal meshing gears, after that, the transmission error of filtering gear reducer was calculated with the method of probability statistics, At last, It proceeded with a satisfactory result through the calculation and measurement of transmission error, and made some analysis on correlation factors of influencing the transmission error, by which it proposed some methods to improve the transmission error.④Forth .it made theory calculation to the backlash of filtering gear reducer through deriving calculation formula of general internal meshing gears. Then, it made some experiments on the reducer backlash and got some experimental data. By comparing the calculated and tested data, it got some conclusions, through which it proposed some methods to improve the transmission backlash.⑤Last, the influence of precision gearing system structural factor on servo systematical performance have been analyzed. And then the influence of transmission error by filtering gear reducer was simulated with Matlab/Simulink, through which it took a preliminary exploration on the practical application of filtering gear reduce.
