| It is a rather new subject to study on the integration of GIS and 2Dwater-sediment numerical model at the present time. However, due to many factors'existence, the development of water-sediment numerical model in our country is notso sound。With the 3S technology appearances, many science fields have gained arather large development。Aiming at the status quo of water-sediment numerical model, this paperdiscusses their integration significance, brings out the solving-way with possibleintegration problem, and puts forward several kinds of integration modes. It takescurrent popular GIS production----ArcView as example, and associates with the actualproject, to illustrate the integration principle and method. This paper also discussesthe integration meaning and correlation problems of GIS and 2D water-sedimentnumerical model visual display.
