Shenzhen Street Lamp Landscape Function And Design

The street lamp is one of the densest municipal facilities in city. It not onlyprovides the illuminative function, but also has double view function in the daytimeand night. In the daytime, the street lamp is the city furniture, to raise personal statusof city. In the night, the street lamp delineates the second outline of the city clearly,working in concert with the first outline of the city constituted by the horizon line ofthe city building in the daytime. More important, the street lamp creates the safe andcomfortable night association environment for person, promoting the forming of cityactivity, also creating the most important city landscape--person activity.The paper takes the street lamp as the research project of city landscape,investigating their inside contact. By means of data collection and on-the-spotinvestigation in several cities, and combining the city space structure theories, thepaper analyzes the function of various parameters of street lamp, especiallyluminance and light color.The paper analyzes the character of Shenzhen city landscape, and investigatesthe present condition of illuminating quantity, street lamp facilities of the typical road.On this foundation, the paper puts forward the design request of the Shenzhen streetlamp landscape aiming at the different road grade and the environment: the influenceof luminance, glare control, inductivity, and light color upon the city night landscape;the esthetic contact between the shape, color of street lamp and road dimension, cityenvironment;the solution to the other realistic problems.Combining the urban design, the paper puts forward the request of street lampgeneral layout of Shenzhen from both luminance and light color, and puts forward thedesign guide to the main view area, path, and node of city. I hope that the papercontribute to build the street lamp landscape system with special features ofShenzhen.
