Tinnitus means one can feel some kind of noise in his ear when in fact there is no sound outside. Nearly 600 million people in the world are suffering different kinds of tinnitus. 4.3 percent people of them can't live a normal life or take natural doings because of serious tinnitus. They can't do their work naturally or even worse. Especially when it comes to the old people, their incidence of tinnitus is higher. At present, there is no medicament can get effect instantly in stopping tinnitus, and get all the sufferers' tinnitus away.In this paper, an abbreviated application system is designed with floating-point DSP TMS320C31PQL40 as its core, which is produced by TI (Texas Instrument). The amplitude, frequency, and phase of the sinusoid wave evoked by this system can be adjusted. A kind of sound wave which is the same with people's ear can be achieved by transforming that sinusoid wave into analog signals then outputing it through earphone. Design process of hardware and programming idea of software of this application system are given in details in this paper. It is an assumption based on learning the keystone of tinnitus and is enlightened by shelter therapeutics. It is expected to be contributing to tinnitus treatment.In the foreword of this paper, the background and purpose of the thesis are expounded. The whole frame and design idea of the application system are also given.In the first chapter, basic information of DSP CMOS chip is given and so the application method using C language.In the second chapter, how to realize the whole hardware circuit are given in details, including the design of system clock, interface design between DSP and memorizers (RAM, EPROM), D/A conversion circuit, logic circuit and design of keystroke & display module, and also anti-jamming measures while making printed circuit board.The third chapter is dealing with software. It mainly introduces the programming idea and realization of each module, and explains their functions, especially introduces the settings of system initialization and primary registers in details.The last part of this paper draws a conclusion. It summarizes the design scheme of this system and points out the shortage and improvement of this system, and finally indicates the prospect of the system.
