Ship diesel engine remote control system is an important sign of modern dieseal. And realizing the unmaned mchinery space, it becomes one of the most main factors. Diesel engine remote control system is sort of remote control equipment. With it the diesel is controlled by servomechanism in cab or engineer control room far away from the main engine. This paper introduced a system for the remote control set of middle speed marine diesel engine realized by the Programmable Logic Controller. And it is controlled by software platform instead of conventional logic and numeral operation function of electron, air-stir, hydraulic or relay.The main Purpose of this thesis is to utilize S7-300 PLC which is extensive used in automatization field and recognized by Ship's Classification Societies of all nations, instead of computer control parts, to carry out all control functions of the main engine remote control system. The functions include logic controls such as normal starting, restarting, heavy starting, normal change, emergency change, brake, stop etc;speed controls such as telegraph transmitter, accelerating rate, program load, critical speed limit, E-P changeover etc;and complete the ME remote contol system about Hardware and software design of nucleus controllers. The part of software is completed by the SIMATIC STEP7 MICRO/WIN32 V5.3, which can design easily the LAD program.The ME remote control system employ sufficiently the technology of S7-300 PLC and has the high module constructure, university and interchange property. This makes us to use ship control and manage center easily.The thesis references to the value in the usage of S7-300 PLC, especially in the treatment of simulation measurement.
