In recent 20 years, multiprocessor technology is applied widely in control field, thanks to the great development of the bus and microprocessor technology. The integrated avionics system has developed distributed configuration from DAIS system. The distributed integrated avionics system is superior to DAIS in processing speed, memory capacity, flexibleness and dependability. But the DAIS system is also very excellent in system configuration and controlling maneuver. And it is being exploited and improved by many countries. It needs analyzing the capability of the integrated avionics with different configurations to manufacture a new avionics with ascendant characteristic.System Performance Evaluation is the important theoretical basis and supporting technology of the development of computer system and network. There are three major aims for it: selection, design and improvement. That is say that through the evaluation, the comparatively better system will be selected, and that the optimum design and configuration will be obtained on the basis of it, and that the operational efficiency will also be increased by improving the current system. From the phylogeny of the integrated avionics, we can realize that the aim of adopting new technology in avionics and introducing new system configurations is to enhance the system's real-time capability, improve the dependability, increase the system's functions and reduce the production and maintenance cost. So we can regard information processing ability, system's real-time, dependability, reconfiguration and system's cost as the main performance indexes for evaluating the integrated avionics. Basing these indexes' performance, this paper carries the evaluation of the integrated avionics system.Firstly, this paper analyzed the configuration and running mechanism deeply of the distributed integrated avionics system and the DAIS system. And it compares the two systems' performance in flexibleness, dependability, reconfiguration and maintenance ability. Secondly, it defined and analyzed the Information Processing Ability of the integrated avionics system with the Queuing Theory and MarKov Chain states theory, which indicates the avionics system's real-time characteristic, processing ability and rationality of the system's resource collocation through the steady probability staying in working state. Thirdly, this paper modeled every subsystems and the bus of the avionics system used multithread technology. And it made the definition of the System Mission and gave the system's delay. Finally, this paper analyzed the 1553B data recorded inintegrated avionics simulation lab or real battleplan used mathematics statistic. And it defined 13 performance indexes of the bus system, gave their variety rule along with the running avionics in graphs. The whole work of this paper is validated in practice, whose result is accord with the real value. The theory and performance evaluation software made out in this paper can be used in the avionics system' design, evaluation and test, which can be a well assistant for the design of the integrated avionics system.
