This paper studies the main function of power system dynamic simulation programEuroStag and applies EuroStag in the dynamic analysis of Beijing network. This paper studies the main function of EuroStag 4.2 version and compares with thesimulation function of BPA. Then, the analysis of data conversion program produced byprecursor has been done. This paper validates the compatibility of data conversion programwith 2004 summer maximum load of Beijing network and completes notation andamendment of the source program. This paper also studies the excitation system model,speed-governor system andturbines model using in Beijing network BPA data. Then, some corresponding model werechosen and built in Macroblock of EuroStag.This paper does research work in the influence of different excitation system modeland load model to dynamic stability during the dynamic stability analysis of Beijingnetwork. For the low frequency oscillation appeared in the simulation, some methods toresolve and study this phenomena has been given at last.Works of this paper have important meaning to dynamic simulation analysis ofBeijing network or other networks using EuroStag.
