This thesis focuses on the study of SVC's effects on the voltage stability of urban network by using dynamic simulation software Eruostag. Establishing the model SVC of TCR-FC by using user-defined model function in Euorstag,proving the correctness and validity of SVC by two examples; Advancing SVC can improve the"negative regulating voltage"of OLTC, also discussing the possibility of SVC can be arising oscillation. Take example for the langfang electric network in the year of 2007, putting forward application value of SVC in langfang electric network, first determining the installation place of SVC by mode analysis method, comparing and analyzing static and dynamic voltage stability before and after installing SVC, approving SVC can improve static and dynamic voltage stability of the southern langfang electric network, discussing the effect on voltage stability of compensation capacity and controller plus K of SVC, evaluating the technology and economy of SVC, thereout educing SVC has good application foreground in urban network.
