Research On The Construction Of Hangzhou Economic Development District And Xiasha Town

Economic development district (EDD) is the main mode of industrial areas development upon city reforming . In past 20 years, it has grown from the new district development to the leading role of the cities, and it plays an importment part in economic and social development. Nowadays, some main EDA have turned from single industrial districts into compositive urban function districts, walking to a new point of departure. So it needs new plan and guide line of strategies.Hangzhou EDA is one of the first EDDs in our country. Since the establishment in April 1993, its development obtains a lot of success, and its compositive level is the 15th of all the 49 national EDAs in our conutry. Its plan have own features. In the new economic development period, particularly during the process from "area" to "town" , Hangzhou EDA faces new opportunities and challenges.This thesis set out from the fact, reviewing the tract of the development of economic district in Hangzhou, and givng analysis of the process. It concludes the experiences and vistas the future, providing some useful advices for the coordinaration and sustainable development of Hangzhou, and also offering some consideration for other EDDs.This thesis is divided into four parts. The first part, looks on the process of EDAs in our country, summarizes the type of the related areas abroad and concluds the experiences of the domestic and international areas;The second part, analyzes each stage of Hangzhou EDD, tallyes up its achievements with the shortages, especially commenting on the planning developments and guarantees of the area;The third part, with the angle of contract of the domestic and international economic areas developments, points out the main experience to enlighten Hangzhou EDA;The fourth part, analyzes the experiences during the process from "area" to "town" and new items of the development of HEDD, offerring some suggestions on planning and development.The thesis research adopts the progress analysis of evidence and the orientation comparing research method, emphasiing the analysis of social and economic parts of planning.It use the questionnaire investigates method, in order to make the conclusion more objective.
