Automobile independent suspension and steering system is automobile general arrangement design and one of movement examination important contents, which have the pivotal influence to the entire vehicle travel dynamics. Because automobile independent suspension and steering system are the quite complex spatial organization, they have brought the major difficulty of dynamics and dynamics analysis. In this dissertation, author creates kinematics mathematical model of McPherson suspension and steering system with multi-rigid-body dynamics theory, and then utilizes MATLAB language to establish kinematics analysis program KASS (Kinematics Analysis of Suspension & Steering system). Through KASS analysis calculation, acquire the transformation rule of front wheel location parameter and steering error of McPherson suspension and steering system. In order to verify accuracy of the program, takes TJ7136U car for example to do analysis calculation. The main analysis content includes transformation rule of camber angle, kingpin inclination angle, caster angle, toe in, wheel grounding distance and steering error. The result indicates that operation of program is well, and that model is correct and fit for design requirement. The content of this article provide the technical support to enhance the design quality of the McPherson suspension and steering system, reduces the design cycle, reduces the labor intensity.
