Releasing steam heat from the mass concrete structures while solidifying leads to produce the temperature change and contraction. They cause the corresponding stresses which are the main factors to from crack in the mass concrete structures. It is obvious for crack to destroy the completeness, anti-water and water-tolerant behavior of the structures and to become a hidden peril of the structures. Thus, crack control must be considered while a mass concrete structure is in construction. In order to seek the reasons of crack in massive concrete and provide a specifications for practical engineering, this paper mainly focus on the thermoconductivity fundamentals and the model of long wall on the sub grade, then analyse the reasons of crack in massive concrete and conclude the measures of crack control. This paper conbining the engineering, study the measures of crack control from original material, match, admixture by experiment and data analysis. By means of comparing the testing data of temperature and stress with calculating result, summarize the effect of crack control measures and propound some useful suggestions for worksite.
