Optimization design of sewerage system, for which we have to confront various constraints and complex hydraulic computation, is vital for sewerage engineering. Existing optimization methods can optimize the system rather effectively, but they still have deficiency: the complex hydraulic computation is broken down and the system can no be optimized systematically;the methods can not be used widely and secure the global optimum;only pipe system construction cost is considered while no pump station construction cost or management cost is considered.On the base of existing study on sewerage system, the paper tries to induct fuzzy dynamic programming to the optimization design of sewerage system field in order to find new method on the ground existing general layout. All feasible programs of pipes shall be used as state aggregate;feasible diameters aggregate of every section of pipe shall be used as input aggregate;fullness and hydraulic slope shall be used as constraints;hydro-geological condition shall also be considered to confirm location of pump stations;in this way the system is modeled, and the we can get the membership grade function of per organization of pipes, then the optimal design. The model is based on the hydro-geological condition, pipe construction cost, pump station construction cost and management cost. By the model, the sewerage system can be optimized systematically and multi-area sewerage system can be realized.The program for the paper is based on VC++6.0, which is easy to operate, and dialogue function between computer and operator is set to enhance the result. Anqing drainage pipe system is optimized in the paper with the fuzzy dynamic programming model, and the total net present value is 17% less than that from engineering design software, which proofs the theoretical and use value of the model.
