Research and Design of digital environment noise monitoring terminal based on GPRS is an application of information technique in environmental monitoring area. Achieving online auto monitoring is our ultimate target of noise monitoring. At present, the auto monitoring of water and atmosphere has possessed quite scope and technique in china. The city environmental noise pollution is instantaneous and its spatial distribution is discontinuous, so only the mufti-sample method and the improvement of monitor frequencies can make the result responding the actual environmental noise pollution level.There are many deficiencies in the item development of environmental noise online auto monitoring system, and the development of this system becomes the urgent task of monitoring department.The Institute of Sound and Vibration Research HUT study the object and contrive the noise online auto monitoring system. There are four parts in this system: fore-intelligent meter;noise data administer center;noise data dispose center;analyse software.Responding to the requirement of the project, this paper offers the scheme and the principle frame wholly. The following elaboration about the design of the terminal detection is given from the angle of software & hardware. For hardware designing, it discusses the designs and the ways of the terminal detection from the designing of the forepart probe, the signal-modulated module.the data-acquisition module,the GPRS communication module,etc. As for software, it elaborates the main idea of this terminal detection designment, the main flow chart and the calculation of corresponding parameters according to C8051F023. The terminal detection will send the data of noise to some administer department about environment-protecting by GPRS immediately and exactly, which will offer effective data for the noise detection and disposal.In addtion, it'll offer effective measure for the noise detection about "Quiet-Project" in many medium&big cities in our country and there is important significance for further the development of the technology and science in the field of envionment-protecting.
