The development of the electric industry and the improvement of people's living standard called for higher quality and better services in electric power. Electric collection is a critical component in electric market system. The data's accuracy affects not only the circs of using electric in industry, corporations and denizens, but also the whole distribution of network and electric power in electric industry. It also has great importance on economical development and the living of accuracy people .The traditional electric collection is usually collected with manual acquisition, which is time and labor-consuming, with poor accuracy and real-time performance. While there are several disadvantages both in the wireless and wire schemes used before, it seems that it's more and more important to use electric collection and monitor system with high efficiency and accuracy.In this paper we developed a GPRS solution for electric collection, which based on the marvelous features of GPRS technology, such as always online, real-time communication, charging by flow quantities, high security and wide coverage. The solution, combined with the distributed system developing method on the .NET platform, builds up a distributed monitor system. This article mainly concerned the following two parts:1. Application of GPRS: Prove the advantage of using GPRS by comparing it with traditional wire/wireless channels. Achieve the aim of communication between the two sides by solving data transmission problems between both sides of communication system, establishing the format of transmission frame and the corresponding transmission protocol, realizing the transmission, and analyzing the application technique of GPRS.2. Explain the reason for the choice of .NET Remoting according to the actual network environment of this system. The paper analysed two techniques of constructing the distributed system in .NET platform. They are ASP.NET and .NETRemoting. By applying the techniques into the monitor system, realizing the construction of web service and corresponding web and windows client, achieved the aim of distributed monitor.The research works introduced above provide some useful reference in the application of GPRS in other fields of electric industry and other industrys. The web service constructed by .NET Remoting is a new attempt in electric monitor system. It expands the application range of .NET Remoting and offers some experiences for other research fields.In the end, we made a conclusion of the realization of the system structure and discussed some shortcomings of the system. Direction of future research was figured out at last.
