Since humans appear, man has been in a fight with the disease. With the improving of people's living standard and the extending of people's average life, various disease also appear constantly, and cardiovascular disease is a kind of disease. And electrocardiogram is a routine examination method which can inspect that heart is normal or not. This method is the most basic, the most convenient, the most economic inspection methods. At present, the electrocardiogram machine is mainly used in hospitals. It is not only inconvenient to move but also high cost. So it can't enter communities and families. These reasons make electrocardiogram routine examination cannot be popularization and satisfy the needs of the market. So the research of remote monitor instrument for ECG is useful for societyThis paper proposes a design project of remote monitor system which is low-power consumption. This system is designed by TI Corporation MCU MSP430F149 which is 16 bit and ultra low-power consumption. The MCU transfer the acquisition of ECG signal to ECG monitor center using the serial port and the GPRS module. The application restores the ECG data to wave form in order to view for doctors. The system overcomes the defects that the previous electrocardiogram machine can only be used in certain occasions. It has many advantages such as small, portable, low-power consumption and low cost. So it has the important practical significance for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.The remote monitor system for ECS based on GPRS is a automatic, intelligent and networking product which amalgamates with CAT(computer application technology),advanced sensor technology,digital processing technology,auto control technology and RTT(Radio Transmission Technology). It can acquire ECG data with sensor, then exchange information and communicate with internet through GPRS module. It achieves the electrocardiosignal detection and is a part of the internet of things. The researched system can be used not only in family medical and community health, but also can be used in nursing homes, sports training, remote areas and poor medical areas. It can collect ECG signal on line and make wireless transmission when the patient is moving. This system is portable and cheap, that has a broad market prospect and sales potential market.
