While concrete structure forms, a great deal of heat due to hydration of cement will raise rapidly the temperature inside the structure. The variety of temperature will cause an asymmetry deformation which will be the reason of a damage of the structure. Accumulate of damage will produce macro cracks that endanger the structure. So, it's very important to study the temperature damage of concrete due to hydration heat. In this paper, based on the former accomplishment and the concrete damage theory, some opinions about the temperature concrete damage are introduced, as well as the calculation of the concrete base-plate with Finite Element Method. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, a one-dimensional heat conduction differential equation of temperature rise due to concrete hydration heat is resolved. A compare between the Ritz variational method and the Galerkin variational method is made.Secondly, the principle of concrete temperature damage due to hydration heat is analyzed, and several concrete damage models are presented and compared. Based on the concrete exponential function damage model, a concrete temperature damage model is established. Finally, a simulation analysis is applied to concrete free slab and restrained slab with ANSYS software. Three macro files are programmed with ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) to calculate the temperature and the strain of each node under different initial conditions and boundary conditions. The damage of each node is calculated with complete decoupling method, and some conclusions are introduced.
