Nowadays, to quantitatively differentiate geomorphy and analyze the evolution becomes more crucial and exigent since to analyze river channel evolution qualitatively cannot meet the requirements of protecting and exploring river regionally and functionally. The paper chiefly studies of the relation between river channel geomorphy and hydrologic characteristics, and furthermore researches in the method of space quantitative analysis of the relation above. Combined geomorphic condition analysis with hydrologic analysis, the paper has found out the quantitative method to river differentiate geomorphic conditions, distill geomorphic units and analyze the river evolution.Using traditional statistical methods and SPSS software, the paper has analyzed the water lever data and DEM data at the station in Zhen-Yang reach to calculate characteristic water levels and elevations. Based on this results, quantitative standards to differentiate river geomorphic conditions are established. Isotonic lines are picked-up in the method supplied by ArcEngine in different geomorphic units. According to GIS spatial analysis theory, quantitative analysis is made in the polygon analysis method supplied by ArcEngine.Hydrological characteristics are introduced to differentiate geomorphic styles. Geomorphic units are quantitatively differentiated and picked-up in this paper. Thus, the paper finds out the method and standard to quantitatively differentiate geomorphic units in accordance with river channel elevations and hydrologic characteristics, what has realized to pick-up geomorphic units and analyze quantitatively the single geomorphic unit's evolution. This is a exploring research which try to make a quantitative analysis of geomorphy from different kinds of scientific points of view. The results accord with the real situation. This new method is simple, feasible and the results are content too. The results show that quantitative standards and method to differentiate river geomorphic conditions are correct and feasible.
