| Steel reinforced concrete structure, SRC structure for short, is a main kind of steel and concrete composite structure that steel shapes are embedded in the reinforced concrete. Compared with other structures, SRC structure has small sectional dimension and excellent seismic behaviour. It has been applied extensively to high-rise building, industrial building in heavy-duty service, large span bridge, undersea tunnel, artesian well platform in developed country. The bond performance of concrete and steel determines mechanical properties, destroy shape, calculating assumption, calculating theory and analysis method of carrying capacity, crack and deformation of SRC structure in some degree.This paper focuses on an experimental study on high strength and high performance concrete applied to SRC structures, and the main objective is to improve endurance of SRC structure and solve the bond-slip problem between steel and concrete. The mechanical properties and durability properties of C60-C100 high strength and high performance concrete are researched, which is most capable of being applied to SRC structures. Based on large amounts of experiments, the working mechanism of high strength and high performance concrete is analyzed. Mechanical properties include cube compressive strength, prismatic axial compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, bending strength, bond strength with steel, stress-strain relationship, modulus of deformation, peak strain, and Poisson's ratio. Durability properties include bearing resistance to freeze-thaw cycle, obdurability, and resistance to chlorine ion permeability. The experimental results indicate that the above-mentioned performance of high strength and high performance concrete is more excellent than that of normal high strength concrete;especially it possesses improved bond strength with steel. The paper alsopresents several regression equations of calculating strengths with compressive strength. It offers some important data for application of this type concrete to SRC structures. |
