Wind energy is a kind of renewalb green and permanent power resource. To solve the problem of energy's shortage and improve the environment quality, a lot of countries use wind energy to produce electricity. But the randzomicity and intermittence of the wind lead to the wind power output unsteadily. With the increcement of capacity, wind farm have more and more response to the grid. So the analysis and improvement of wind power quality becomes important to develop the wind energy.The real-time monitoring system of power quality uses CAN bus as data transmission carrier for monitoring the power quality indexs and giving the state of wind farm. The power quality indexs include: virtual value of voltage and current, active and reactive power, voltage fluctuation, three-phase unbalance factor, flicker and so on. With the the high speed of CPU, the system can resolve the conflict between real time monitoring and consuming long time for large data.The paper summarizes the status quo of monitoring system for wind farm and introduces the development, construction, principle of CAN bus. The emphase is the working mode, communication protocols and each taches of the system.And the computation methods and the software of system are also introduced in detail. The whole software of system is programmed by Visual Basic, which estabilshed friendly interface and functions such as icon display, data print, memory and so on.Optimizing measures for power quality include: lightning protection, earthing, the EMC of monitoring system;and applying fuzzy adaptive control into the wind turbine to optimize the output power. The paper introduces other measures such as selecting the address of wind farm, new power electronic. By testing the system, we analyze the monitoring effect and reliability of the system. The error is be analysed from two aspects: hardware circuit and software arithmetic.Finally, this paper points out the flaws of this system and proposes some advicesand conceives to improve the system further.
