The Linear Motor can drive a line motion without machine converter. The Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) is widely used in hige speedMeglev vehicle because of her hige speed and efficiency. Unlike Direct Current Motor easy to control, How to control the LSM become key topic to many scientists and technologists because of its multi-variable, nonlinear, strong coupling .On the basis of theory of direct torque control in Asynchronous Motor, principle of Direct Thrust Control (DTC) of LSM is analyzed in this paper. Some beneficial quests have been carried out to the digital DTC system of LSM. The open loop test is implemented with high speed Digital Signal Processor (DSP)TMS320LF2407.Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation(SVPWM) is applied in DTC in this paper , it do not increase the complicated degree of the electric circuit hardware and the switch form, make the electromagnetic field chain track near to the circular , reduce pulsation of thrust force consumedly.Firstly, Basic theory and characteristic of the linear synchronous motor is analyzed and a mathematical model is established. Secondly, simulation model for the motor and the control system is built by Matlab/Simulink with which transient and stable simulation of the control system is carried out. Finally, the simulation result of the closed loop control system shows a good static and dynamic performance and high reliability of DTC.In the paper, Hardware circuit and software design of the direct thrust control system with TMS320LF2407 chip is presented in detail. Software of the whole system is compiled by assembly language and simulation is done which indicates a correct design and a reliable function. Test is done on an Arced linear synchronous motor test-bench and result shows a fast dynamic response achieved by direct thrust control method.
