Research On The Target Value Of Speed In Demand Terms Of Maglev Railway

The high speed maglev railway is a new-style traffic system.Along with the high speed maglev technique's improved increasingly,more and more people pay attention to the feasibility of building the long trunk line of maglev railway. While getting the market approbation is the precondition of popularizing the maglev transportation system, and different speed target values will offer different service qualities which are mainly in traveling time, together with different fares for passengers. Therefore we need to research the influence of the speed target value on passenger-transport requirements and transportation incomes. Based on the background of the new high maglev railway from Beijing to Shanghai, this thesis utilized the utility theory and multi-object decision-making method to investigate the choices of the passengers on transportation tools and to analyze the market shares of the maglev transportation system when adopting different speed target values, so as to work over the investment interests of the maglev construction projects.Firstly, the author took the normal wheel track railway, high speed maglev, high expressway and aviation as standbys, discussed their properties separately, and made multi-object decision-making models on choosing transportation tools. According to the survey of passengers' paying wills for saving how much time, the author also established the weight-model of time value and traveling distance for each one, and figured out math-model of avail function value by adding the weights together.Secondly, this thesis applied the math- model of the avail function value to analyze the application range of each one, and worked out the market shares of the maglev transportation system in each distinct condition.Lastly, with modeling the high maglev passenger-transport due tomarket shares variation, the author calculated the amount of passengers in every O-D segment, studied the influences on passenger-requirement and transportation incomes according to the market share models, and optimized the maglev speed, aiming on gaining the maximal transportation incomes of maglev projects, in order to obtain the speed target value of the newly built high speed maglev railway as a whole.
