Overhead Contact Systtem (OCS) is the only part of the traction power supply system, which has no spare parts. Consequently, the working state of it is vital to the safety and economic benefit of the electrical railway, especially that of the high-speed OCS, which affects both the safety of railway and the quality of current collection between pantograph and overhead contact line. The interaction between pantograph and overhead contact line has become one of the shackles that confine the development of high-speed electrical railway.Construction technology and construction art of OCS is among many factors that have influence on the interaction between OCS and pantograph. There are many differences between the technology and acquirements of normal-speed and high-speed OCS construction. We can see those from the construction, running and maintenance experiences of many abroad countries which have advantages in high-speed OCS: to ensure the safety and economic benefit of high speed OCS, except for finding high-quality and high-performance pantograph and OCS , additional attention should be emphasized on the key technology of OCS construction, which will be useful for ensuring good construction quality and eliminating extra interference.After reading many specialized materials, the author presents the problems exists in contemporary construction technology, and gives a elementary analysis on it. Then the author puts hisemphasis on the technology of fix-point measurement, foundation installation, masts erection, pole structure calculation, pole assembly, fixed-tension conductor installation, assemble dropper installation, combined registration installation, rigid suspension installation and suspension height deviation control. Finally, the author expounds new technology and ideas for OCS construction, which will provide a good foundation for late OCS construction.
