The article performs analysis and researches on power supply system structure of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company's 600,000 tons per year ethylene plant modification and expansion project,designing the main connection line mode for 110KV ethylene substation of 600,000 tons per year ethylene plant under this kind of power supply system structure,emphasesly studying the start mode of large capacity electromotor and influence to voltage of each point in power supply system during the start up process.The thesis carries on the theory analysis and calculations on the start process of large electromotor, then establishes power system dynamic physics simulation model according to power system simulation theory, simulating the real conditions of the prototype system completely, and performing simulation experimental research.Simulation experiment implements real time test on voltage condition of each point in system when the large capacity electromotors are started in different mode. In comparision between experimental data analysis and theory caculation result, obtain accurate conclusion, indicating the main connection line designed by this article is reasonable, the electromotor start method and start process adopted can meet the engineering requirement.
