Modern society’s dependence on the power supply continues to increase, andthe consequences caused by blackout are very serious, so it is an important measureto design effective power system black-start scheme when power system has to berestored quickly after widespread blackout due to system breakdown. Thereinto it isan important part to calculate and assess the no-load switching overvoltages of theblack-start path in black-start scheme design.This thesis consideres the closing conditions and establishes a Monte Carlomodel for the statistical overvoltage calculation. By simulating and calculating, thisthesis investigates on the impact that line parameters, line compensation andconfiguration schemes of high voltage parallel reactor caused to the line overvoltage,finally get the fast forecast method for black-start switching overvoltage.The research results are as follows:1. This thesis analyses the mechanism of the overvoltage emerged in theblack-start recovery process and the factors influenced on the overvoltage. TheMonte Carlo model is built for the statistical overvoltage calculation which hasconsidered the closing conditions based on the PSCAD/EMTDC software.2. The model is applied to Yunnan Power Network500kV lines, combined withthe actual configuration schemes of high voltage reactor, to investigate the influencesthat the high voltage reactor configuration schemes caused to the overvoltage.3. The model is applied to the typical500kV lines in different lengths anddifferent line compensation degree. By simulating and calculating, the effects that theline length and line compensation degree caused to the overvoltage is investigated.4. The fast forecast method for black-start switching overvoltage ultimatelly isgot by comprehensive analyzing of the above factors that influence on overvoltage.
