In recent years, as there is more and more demand for the power resource, both the capacity of power system and the relevant voltage level have been upgraded accordingly, which makes the power grid require higher reliability of the power equipments. However, the reality is that insulation materials of the power transmission and transformation equipments aged seriously due to long-term running, which is a real threat to normal operation of the power system. Therefore it is of great importance to diagnose the fault of power transmission and transformation equipments and to improve the reliability of the equipment operation. Compared with the previous preventive test and offline maintenance, there are more advantages of the on-line monitoring technology, which can not only monitor and analyze the operation parameters of the substation equipment accurately and timely, but also realize the online fault diagnosis for substation equipments, so that maintenance plans can be arranged more easily and the safety rate of the substation equipment utilization will be improved greatly.Based on present research of the domestic substation equipment on-line monitoring technology, combined with actual situation of 500 kV substation in Fengquan, this paper has designed ENA-CBMS equipment monitoring and management system of 500 k V substation in Fengquan, studied the main transformer and arrester on-line monitoring system, and analyzed their application in production system. On-line monitoring technology of main transformer is achieved through the chromatographic analysis based on the content of dissolved gases in transformer oil, gas production rate and the relative amount. By analyzing and comparing the amount of monitoring, we can use a certain method to determine the operating status of the transformer and ensure the reliability of its operation. Arrester line monitoring system can achieved real-time online monitoring and diagnostics of important parameters based on wireless sensor technology, Application of wireless sensor technology can ensure the stability of the device on-line monitoring, accuracy and anti-interference ability to meet the practical requirements of industrial site. The system gives a preliminary analysis of the online, offline and pre-test data based on operational status of equipment, which provide a strong technical support to achieve condition-based maintenance of high voltage equipment in power companies.Through practical examples of oil gas analysis, we confirmed the usefulness of the gas analysis module system designed in this paper. In addition, the historical data analysis strategy arrester has been proposed based on multivariate linear regression. That is, the proposed method that is applied to the historical data of arrester, on the one hand, can found defect arrester operation by using historical data, on the other hand, can screen for subjective errors due to manual recording data, which has big practical value.
