Distribution system is an important part in power system which connect power production to consumer. Distribution reconfiguration is an important aspect of distribution system automation and optimization. The study of distribution reconfiguration is quite actively over the past ten years. It has tremendous economic and society benefit to improving power system's safty and economy by distribution reconfiguration and developing distribution network potential.Firstly, all kinds of methods on power flow calculation in distribution networks was discussed in this dissertation, especially highlighting the technique of backward/forward iterative algorithm; Then it analysis the optimization method of distribution network and gave it's merit and defect one by one, introduce some optimization functions of distribution network.Topology analysis is an indispensable part of network reconfiguration. In order to find the objective function of optimal network configuration in network reconfiguration, topology analysis is needed to change the run mode of network. Thus this dissertation study the topology analysis; After analyzing the characteristics of distribution network structure, this dissertation studied power flow calculation in distribution networks. Backward/forward iterative algorithm is used to calculate power flow, the results indicate that the algorithm has a good astringency.This dissertation analysis the basic principles and features of Genetic Simulated annealing Algorithm(GSA), GSA avoid the shortcoming of Simulated Annealing slowing and prevent the Genetic Algorithm's premature, according to the distribution network features, this dissertation improves the fitness function, crossover rate and mutation rate. From the economic perspective, build a mathematical models which intention is the smallest power loss of distribution network, these individuals that do not satisfy the load constraint condition was introduced to the objective function by structuring penalty function. The dissertation gave the essential steps and flow diagram of GSA and program, those scheme have boosting the efficiency of calculating network restructuring and reduce the power loss after restructuring.
