Three-dimensional FEA of flatting nozzle/cylinder intersections with varying diameter and thickness ratio under external load at the free end of nozzle was carried out systematically; the scope of the thesis is as follows:Laws of axial and hoop stress concentration factors (SCFs) for the structure with varying nozzle parameters under external loads were obtained using three-dimensional elastic FEM. And strength inspections were performed based on JB4732-95. The vessels were considered to be safe through calculation and application under the stress analysis condition.Three-dimensional Elastic-Plastic FEA of the intersection under the combination of axial load at the free end of nozzle and inside pressure was carried out, SCFs and strain concentration factors versus inside pressure behavior respectively of cylinder in its axial direction were obtained, and it shows that small plastic strain occurring at the local region is advantageous to relieve the local stress concentration.Laws of axial and hoop stress concentration factors (SCFs) in axial direction of cylinder with varying nozzle parameters under thermal load were...
