Research On Compact Residence Design

Our society is turning multi-directing and high-speeding when it comes into 21 century. Cities are increasing there population and urbanization process, at the mean while family members are decreasing but mobilities. In such a condition, high density and temperate living style is reasonable for the tendency of residential development in our country. However the requirement of individuality and diversity raised by individual appears its certainty. The relationship between resident and residence is changing from the former adapting the later to the later adapting to the former, especially in terms of comfort and individuality.Author brings forward the design concept of compact residence under above background, which is proposing temperate living style. It is emphasizing comfort and individuality under the condition of limited area design. This article regards the compact unit type residential design as its researching object. It is emphasizing on researching compact residence, proposing comfortable and individual living style from the designer's point of view.The content is divided into three parts.The first part is to identify the concept of compact residence. Pioneer concept of foreign countries will be introduced. Take Japanese as an example to discuss and for practice. The easiness standard of compact residence will be raised by the analysis of population composition of china's modern families and the comparison between compact residence and ordinary residence.The second part is to conclude the design idea and concern point of compact residence. Pertinent design idea and concern point will be carried out through classified study. Also, infrastructure of compact residence should be researched. Intensive and convenient infrastructure should be applied for compact residence.The third part is the problem of hot technology.
