Along with the navigation technology developing, many new navigation methods and information source which respective characteristics have appeared. In the inertial navigation technology, Optical Fiber Gyroscope(FOG) has been put into application in many ways since the birth, for its many outstanding advantages such as absolute solid state, longevity, large dynamic scope, quick-reaction, simple structure, small size, low weight and so on. The global positioning system (GPS) that is one of entire new navigation system has prominent merit which the former system is unable to match. But, the FOG precision developed in China is generally lower also the GPS has the congenital flaw which signal can be disturbed . The main duty of information fusion which is a new rising technology involved multi-subject is that obtains more reliable and accurate information from multi-information sources than that from sole one. Integrated navigation system is compose of the optical fiber strapdown system and the GPS system using Kalman filter realized information fusion. Fully displays superiority of subsystems and avoids shortcoming of subsystems then obtains more reliable and higher accuracy Integrated navigation system.The paper firstly introduced the work principle of FOG and the element theory and algorithm flow of the Strapdown Inertial Navigation System, discussed the work principle of GPS. After that according to the error analyse of optical fiber Strapdown Inertial Navigation System established Kalman Filer based on Position-Velocity Integrated mode and used in the project successfully. Mainly discussed the design of hardware and partial software of Integrated Navigation System. The system is divided into following parts: the high precision reading system of accelerators circuit, the interface of FOG circuit, the temperature data collection circuit, the interface of external communication circuit with GPS and PC. Basing on the design of hardware circuit of system, realized temperature compensation and program of Strapdown system and Kalman Filer in software by TMS320VC33 compile language and C language.
