The FOG has been put into application in many ways since the birth, for its many outstanding advantages such as absolute solid state, longevity, large dynamic scope, quick-reaction, simple structure, small size, low weight. The Strapdown Inertial Navigation System has more prominent advantages after adopting the FOG althouth its obvious character. This paper completes the design and realization of the hardware circuit of FOG Strapdown Inertial Navigation System by the background of the practical engineering project.The paper firstly introduces the work principle of FOG and the element theory of the Strapdown Inertial Navigatin System and the theoretical base of the systematic design, mainly completes the design of hardware and partial software of the FOG Strapdown Inertial Navigation System. The system is divided into following parts: the hign precision reading system of accelerators circuit, the interface of accelerators and FOG circuit, the temperature data collection circuit, the interface of external communication circuit and Boot Loader circuit.Basing on the design of hardware circuit of system, the paper programs the Boot table, which is used in Boot Loader and realizes temperature compensation and program of Strapdown system in software by TMS320VC33 compile language and C language.According to the characters of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System, data collected in interrupt mode, processed by timer, realized the design of all the external circuit through a piece of FPGA chip. This method makes more simple and flexible design, compact structure and has innovation.In the process of debugging and testing of system, the system works stable, achieves the function of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System, it will base for the practical utilization of the project.
