Design Strategies And Methods Exploration Of Architecture In Sloping Field And Waterfront Area

The fountainhead of cosmic inventory is origin from water, which is one of the most beautiful and sagacious things in people's minds. Without water, people can not live and move forward, without water, prosperous town and architectural development can not be achieved. The early architecture by human beings was tightly bound to water, furthermore, water is applied to architecture design as an creative element in modern architecture, and it has great value on ecology, aesthetics and spirit. There are vast mountains and water resources spread all over our country, and people always long for the place where connect water and land to settle down, where not only contain eminent ecology and landscape resource, but also are the superexcellent location for being close to water. Therefore the architects paid more and more attention to the architecture in the connecting district of hillside land and waterfront. It's necessary to explore practical design strategies and methods to study its relationship with water from the viewpoint of architecture design.This thesis is divided into 6 parts: in part 1, it summarizes the background, aims, meaning and content frame of the research. In part 2, with the idea of being close to water, it seeks a cut-in from the correlation of water and architecture. In part 3, it explores the profound influence of water environment on architecture from the traditional views of philosophy related to mountain and water, which theoretically opens up a scholar horizon for the research of major issues. In part 4, it expounds the developing history and current situation about the settlement of human being in sloping field and waterfront, and points out the function and the comprehensive value of sloping fields and waterfront in the condition of modern living environment, which improve the academic and practical value of this thesis. In part 5, as the emphases, this part analyzes the different features of the waterfront and their influence to the grounding way and layout etc. of the architecture in sloping field and waterfront. And it also expounds the design strategies and methods about how to fully exert the advantage of waterfront from the viewpoint of architecture design, as well as the relationship between architecture and water. In part 6, some conclusions and revelations about this thesis are summarized. The future and development of architecture in sloping field and waterfront is being considered and expected.
