Research On Theory Of Variational Curve Of Belt Conveyor With Horizontal Curves

Belt conveyor, as an important mean of bulk solids conveyance, has a developing history of more than 100 years. Because of the influence of terrain, geology and so on, several transport line has curves with different angles. Using belt conveyor with horizontal curves to realize natural turn will be more economical, dependable and efficient. With the development of transportation, commerce, industry, agriculture, using large belt conveyor becomes necessary, thus, the design theory of belt conveyor with horizontal curves need to improve.This thesis studied the design theory of large belt conveyor with horizontal curves on the foundation of studying belt conveyor with horizontal curves.Based on the analysis and research of different idler sets in curves on present, it summarized their characteristics, and put forward better choices in appointed conditions, such as whether the curve radius ascertainable or not, simple maintenance, little investment and so on.It educed their mathematics model of turning radius, based on the geometrical and mechanical analyses of convex curve with alterable angles and concave curve with alterable angles, and tested the mathematics model of curve radius, then gets appropriate curve radius. It adopted Matlab to accomplish whole arithmetic.It emulates the relationships of structure parameters and turning radius using Matlab, based on mathematics model of curve radius, and gave the method of choosing parameters in curve that make the design theory more perfect..it researched on a practical project based on the design theory educed before, ascertained the radius of convex curve with alterable angles and concave curve with alterable angles, finished the design of disposal structure.
