Research On The Modular Design Of The New-Type Machine For Working Granite Components

Granite surface plates would be used as the precision measuring basis for apparatus, precision tools, machinery parts and so on. Granite machinery components would be used as the table, slide, housing, beam and base of the precision machine or un-trditional machining equipment. The surfaces of granite plates require high flatness, and some granite plates need the manufacture of ditchs, sides and locating bores. Besides the request of high flatness, each surface of granite components, which is used for guide and support, needs high mutual position precision, and some components needs special-shaped manufacture of metal parts of inset. The request of precise machines' development is higher and higher, and the application of precision machines is wider and wider, accordingly, the demanding trend of granite surface plates and components mainly show several aspects: first, request of flatness and manufacturing accuracy are higher and higher; second, request of arty and individuation with more specifications and little batch becomes increasingly outstanding; third, demanding specifications become more and more, with the size of needs becoming greater and greater; last, the needs of market becomes wider and wider, together with manufacturing period becoming shorter and shorter.According to the structure characteristics, manufacturing characteristics and needing characteristics of the products, based on the functional analysis, a new-type equipment that can make holes and ditches precisely or roughly on the products has been designed. Being applied collected working procedures; the actions of milling, grinding, polishing, ditching and drilling on five surfaces of the product can be finished by one equipment. So, the precision of the products and efficiency of produce can be raised and the integrated processing craft came into being. The equipment has bridge-type structure, a movable beam and a combined power. It can be made and managed by the functional modules. The equipment consists of machinery modules, cooling and lubricating modules, assistant modules, controlling modules and so on. The machinery module is divided into four functional modules: the movable module, the power module, the supporting module and the extending module. The functional modules of the equipment can be assembled and reconstructed into a new-type one according to the structure of the products. Applied the integrated technology and the modular technology, the new-type equipment is designed with less time and fund, boundless using situation and stronger practicability.
