New Modular Shaped Stone Processing Equipment Research And Development Of The Cad System

Special-shaped stones are generally manufactured by order form with many breeds, small batch and little time. Along with the development of building and decorating industry, the application of special-shaped stones are wider and wider, the requirement becomes more and more great and demanding characteristic trend is also more and more obvious. Therefore, stone industry needs computer numerical controlled manufacturing equipments with multi-function, low-cost and wide-application urgently.Based on the analysis of present market situation of special-shaped stones, aimed at the urgent need of multifunctional special-shaped stones manufacturing equipment which is economical and practical in the domestic stone-decorating industry, applying modular design technology and reconstruction theory, a series of equipments for manufacturing special-shaped stones are developed. Based on double-pillar frame and single- pillar frame, via the reconstruction of power and worktable, special-shaped stones machining equipments of different function can be obtained which can machine most special-shaped stones such as flat, curve, embossed stones and three-dimensional carvings.Taking this series of equipments as the research object, an interactive CAD system facing the customer's function demand is developed in the paper which supports parameterized design and information transmission. Besides, the overall structure of the development system of equipments for special stones is planned and established which consists of six parts: equipments inquiry system, modularization system, parameterized design system, database management system, computer emulate system and evaluation system, and also, the design process is planned for each system.The rapid selection, inquiry and design of the equipments and functional modules for special-shaped stones are realized in the system according to the customer's design requirement.Based on the coding of the equipments' functional modules, the database management system of equipments for machining special stones and their functional modules has been set up on the platform of relative database Access. Users can make a convenient and effective management on equipments and each module of modularization, realizing the inquiry, addition, revision, deletion and updating of data information duly and accurately.The CAD development system of equipments for machining special-shaped stones has the characteristic of friendly human-machine interface, convenient operation and high-efficiency in application. The industrialization of the system can greatly shorten product design and manufacture cycle, reduce the cost of products and improve the quality and reliability so as to enhance the market competitiveness and accelerate the development of stone industry in china.
