Carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) is a kind of material with high-strength,high-efficient,corrosion resistant,lightweight and portable express construction merit. In recent years, it becomes a hot spot in civil engineering field that CFRP is used for repairing and strengthening concrete structures. At the present time, the study of concrete column strengthened with CFRP is mainly focused on stress-strain curve of axial loaded circle column wrapped CFRP, as well as anti-shear,anti-bending and anti-seismic performances. However, majority columns subject to eccentric load and their sections are circle in the actual engineering. It restricts the development and application of this technology that a concrete column is strengthened with CFRP. So it is very necessary that the bearing performance of eccentrically loaded column wrapped CFRP is researched.The bearing capacity and ductility of eccentrically loaded columns strengthened with CFRP have been researched, based on the test of 9 RC columns. At the same time, this paper analyzed the degree of CFRP function to different strengthening volume and different eccentricity, and compared the failure mode and strengthening effect in the different strengthening mode and volume. The experimental result has shown that the ultimate bearing capacity and ductility of eccentrically loaded columns have a certain increase when they are strengthened with transverse CFRP. In addition, the excessive eccentrically loaded columns have a more notable effect as a result of strengthening with the combination of longitudinal and transverse CFRP. The increasing degree of strengthening columns'bearing capacity reduces while the volume of CFRP increases.Based on this test, this paper discussed the bearing performance and influencing parameters of concrete confined with CFRP, and presents its new model of pressive strength,peak strain and stress-strain relationship according to existed the models of stress-strain relationship which are used to calculating concrete confined with fiber reinforced polymer(FRP).
