Mega-frame structure is a new type of structure system. Comparing with other structure systems, this structure has many characteristics and advantages. In consideration of the advantages of high-rise steel structure, this paper analyzes huge steel frame structure mainly. With the economic development of our country, huge steel frame structure must be applied widely. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and study huge steel frame structure deeply to understand its mechanical behavior.Firstly, the paper solves the static elastic problem of huge steel frame structure by QR-method. Then the paper analyzes the elasto-plastic static problem of this structure. The stiffness increment variation method is adopted to handle the elasto-plastic rigid equation, and the ultimate load of the structure can be got. The author writes corresponding program by C language to calculate some examples. By comparing with finite element method, the results show that QR-method boasts fewer unknown numbers, high precision, simple computation and strong adaptability, so it is an economical and effective computational method. This method is valuable not only in theory but also in practice.Based on beam-column theory, the paper analyzes elastic earthquake response of huge steel frame structure. The paper adopts state-space method to handle dynamic equations. Corresponding program is written by Program Matlab.
